Working in manufacturing plants
Terms of employment
The owner of the settlement can hire his own clones (from his account) as well as third-party applicants. You make your own decisions about the hiring process. You can limit the number of vacancies at each company (but not less than 1). You can completely disable the possibility of hiring workers for a particular company (but you will still be able to hire your own clones). It is also possible to fire any of the employees at any time. These options are available on the Basic Resource → Primary Production page.
You, as the owner of the settlement, can take advantage of mass employment of your own clones in enterprises, or you can employ them in the usual way. The normal method will only be available if you have enabled the "Workers Wanted" setting.

To be employed by the settlement, a clone must meet the following requirements:
- Have a social status not lower than Artisan (Peasant status - to work in the mill).
- To live on the territory of the settlement, i.e. to move into your own house built on the territory of the settlement, or to rent a dwelling there.
- Purchase the necessary tools at the Toolbox.
- Quit all state-owned enterprises.
- Have an endurance rating of at least 0.
A clone can only work on one private enterprise at a time and will need a tool to do so.
Table. Required status and tools for working in private enterprises
Company name | Minimal clone status | Working tool |
---|---|---|
Sawmill | ![]() | ![]() |
The Mill | ![]() | ![]() |
Quarry | ![]() | ![]() |
Mine | ![]() | ![]() |
If a clone quits one private company and wants to get another job (even in the same settlement), he can do it only 24 hours after receiving a salary at the previous place of work. A device for the same enterprise is available immediately.
Warning. While working in a settlement, a clone expends 0.5 stamina units per day, regardless of its social status. This amount is expended in addition to the daily stamina intake. Remember to provide enough stamina in the Refectory, or the clone will be fired from the enterprise.
Remuneration at a private enterprise
Wages are paid to employees automatically on the day following the day of production. Even if the employee resigns by then, he or she will still receive payment for the shift worked.
If the owner of the enterprise bought out the resource in full, the workers will receive their wages in the form of gold coins. The amount of wages for each employee will be 50% of the cost of redeeming 1 unit of production.
If the products produced have not been redeemed at all, the employee's salary will be (depending on the company where the clone works):
- 0.35 stone units (Quarry).
- 0.35 units of wood (Sawmill).
- 0.23 units of cereal (Mill.
- 0.43 units of iron (Rudnik).
If only part of the production has been redeemed, the workers will receive a combined wage, consisting proportionally of some gold coins and a share of the resource.
Gold coins are credited to the game account, and the resource - in the inventory of the clone.
Additionally, each employee will receive a daily accrual of the "experience" characteristic. At the sawmill, quarry and mine the clone will receive 4 units of experience, at the mill - 6 units of experience per work shift.
Increasing the number of jobs
If the owner of the settlement has fully purchased the resource produced in the enterprise, then the next day the number of available jobs in this enterprise will increase according to the table below (but no more than the level of development of the enterprise allows). Full redemption is considered when the number of units redeemed equals the number of employees employed.
Table. Rules for the growth of jobs in settlements
Enterprise level and settlement level | Increase in jobs per day |
---|---|
Level 1-4 at the Manor House | +1 |
Level 1-4 in the Village | +2 |
Level 1-4 in the City | +3 |
Level 1-4 in Megapolis | +4 |
For example, if the owner of a settlement developed it to a Village, but did not have time to develop the appropriate levels of enterprises there (they remained at the Manor level), then there will be an increase of +1 place.
If the owner of the settlement does not buy back the products from the enterprise in full, there will be an automatic reduction of available jobs at the enterprise. There will be a reduction equal to the number of unredeemed resource, but not more than 10% of the maximum possible number of jobs per day (rounded upwards). For example, if an enterprise in an estate has a level IV development, no more than 4 available places per day will be reduced. The employees who occupied these positions will be dismissed.
If there are unoccupied jobs in the enterprise, they will in any case be reduced by the same rule (even with a full buyout), until the number of vacancies is equal to the number of employees.
A special case of incomplete redemption occurs when an employee goes on a cruise on a pleasure boat. Such a worker is temporarily absent from the workplace - not producing products, not expending stamina, and not receiving wages and experience. But he is listed as an employee of the company. In this case, the company produces less product than the number of employees employed - respectively, the buyout will be incomplete, with all the ensuing consequences.
Job cuts
If there are cases of job cuts, the first to be cut will be "absentee" workers (who were on a cruise), followed in priority by workers with minimal relevant expertise.
Table. Correlation of special knowledge with professions in private enterprises
Company | Special skills |
---|---|
Sawmill | Forestry skill |
The Mill | Agraricultural skills |
Quarry | Knowledge of mining |
Mine | Knowledge of ore mining |
Dismissal from businesses
A clone can at any time quit the enterprise on his own or can be fired by the owner of the settlement. He will also be automatically dismissed in the following cases:
- The strength of the tool has dropped to 0 and there is no new tool in stock (including if the automated tool availability control is disabled or there is not enough money in the account to buy a new tool).
- Stamina has dropped below 0 (remember to replenish the Refreshment Room in time).
- The clone moved out of the house on his own (gave up his lease) or the lease expired. Keep in mind that even if you have auto-renewal set up, a homeowner may refuse to renew a particular clone.
