Superfood

What are superfoods for?

Superfeed is an innovative development of the State Farm Biotechnology Division. This amazing substance can significantly affect the weight gain of your bulls and milk yields of your cows, and therefore your profits. You can add superfood to your cattle's regular feed ration. We will refer to this diet as the Strengthened Feeding Ration. Superfood is not a substitute for regular food, it only supplements it.

As you may have already guessed, there are two types of superfood: for bulls, it increases their weight gain and for cows, it increases milk yields.

Attention! Superfood for cows only increases milk yield, but does not affect the weight or other parameters of the cows. Superfeed for bulls only improves the rate of weight gain of bulls, but has no effect on other parameters of bulls.

Any animal between 61 and 420 days of age can be switched to an increased feed ration. The animal is selected in the barnyard or barn (if there is one), using the "Increased Feeding" control.

Warning. When an animal is put into a heavy feeding mode, its readiness to mate decreases to zero and will not increase until the animal is taken out of this mode. Switching to a heavy feeding regime has no effect on the litter production of the animal.

Where and how to buy superfood?

There are two ways to buy superfood:

  • Make your own in the State Farm Biotechnology Department.
  • Buy ready-made superfoods at the Fair.

Buying superfood at the Fair is easy and won't cause you any questions.

When making your own superfood on the State Farm, there are some specifics to consider:

  • The cost of producing 1 kg of superfood is 0.1 gold coin + 1 State Farm.
  • Each player has a limit on superfood production (common to the entire account). It equals 1/5 of the number of coupons you received when exchanging young steers for State Farm coupons. Only coupons received during the exchange are taken into account. Coupons purchased on the Merchants' Guild Commodity Exchange (or obtained by other means) do not increase the limit, but may be used to produce superfood. Thus, if you have never traded steers for coupons, you will not be able to produce superfeed yourself.

Example:

You raised a steer weighing 410 kg and exchanged it for State Farm coupons. Your superfood production limit in the Biotechnology Department will increase by 410/5=82 kg. The limit is indefinite, it will be reduced only when superfoods are produced. For example, if you produced 10 kg of superfood for bulls and 5 kg of superfood for cows, your limit will be reduced by 15 kg. You sold the remaining 395 sheep on the Commodity Exchange - the limit did not change. If you buy coupons on the exchange in the future (or get them in some other way) - you can produce another 67 kg of superfood. When exchanging for coupons of the next bull, the calculation will be made in the same way, the limits will be summed up.

Bonuses for consuming superfoods

The maximum amount of superfood your bull or cow can consume in a day is 25 kg. You can feed the animals superfood continuously (daily) or you can do it occasionally. Both the amount of superfood consumed and the duration of its continuous consumption will affect the amount of bonuses given by the corresponding type of superfood.

  • The daily volume of superfood received determines the size of the base bonus.
  • The duration of continuous superfeeding determines the amount of the extra bonus.

Recall that superfood for bulls allows the animal to gain weight every day at an accelerated rate. Superfood for cows allows you to increase daily milk yields.

Let's take a closer look at the mechanisms for obtaining these two types of bonuses. Basic bonus for superfood consumption

The effect of superfood on an animal is three-step and depends on the amount of superfood consumed per day. Each kilogram of superfood increases the size of the base bonus to your animal's score in a certain way.

Table. Bonus for superfeeding

Consumption level per dayBasic bonus for superfood consumption by levelMaximum possible total base bonus
Level 1 (1-10 kg)1.5% for each kg from the 1st to the 10th10x1,5% = 15%
Level 2 (11-20 kg)1% for each kg from the 11th to the 20th10x1.5% + 10x1% = 15% + 10% = 25%
Level 3 (21-25 kg)0.5% for each kg from the 21st to the 25th10x1.5% + 10x1% + 5x0.5% = 15% + 10% + 2.5% = 27.5%

Extra bonus for continuous superfeeding

As a result of continuous consumption of superfood for several days (at least 2), an additional bonus is applied, adding +0.1% to the base bonus at levels 1 and 2 for each day of continuous consumption of superfood by the animal. On the sixth day of continuous feeding, the additional bonus reaches its maximum value (+0.5% on levels 1 and 2) and does not increase again.

Superfeed and weight loss (only applicable to bulls)

As you know, if animals are not fed, they will lose weight. Weight loss with no feed at all is 1/3 of the weight the animals would have gained with an optimal feed ration.

Superfeed has the unique ability to reduce the weight loss of bulls in the absence of animal feed. Every kilogram of superfeed fed to a bull reduces weight loss by 1/25 in the complete absence of regular feed. This means that at the maximum consumption of superfood (25 kg per day) your bull will not lose a single gram even in the absence of regular feed.

Superfeed does not have the same effect on cows.

Examples of calculations of the effect of superfeeding

Now we will describe some specific examples of calculating the results of superfood and the accompanying bonuses, depending on various factors, so that you can understand exactly how much superfood can improve the performance of your animals.

Example 1: "maximal" feed ration for bulls

Suppose you provide your bull with an optimal feed ration. At the age of 61 to 240 days, he will gain 1.583 kg per day (without superfood). Next, you stocked up on superfeed and decided to transfer this bull to an increased feed ration, with a constant consumption of 25 kg of superfeed per day. How much will the rate of weight gain of this bull increase?

Day 1 of continuous feeding with superfood

Calculation formula:

X + ((10x1.5%) + (10-1%) + (5-0.5%))X = X + (15% + 10% + 2.5%)X = X + 27.5% x X = 127.5% - X

A formula with real data:

1.583 + (15% + 10% + 2.5%)1.583 = 1.583 + 27.5% x 1.583 = 127.5% x 1.583 = 2.0183 kg

Note. The bull in our example consumes 25 kg of superfood per day, so we include all three levels of superfood consumption (10 kg + 10 kg + 5 kg) and their inherent bonuses into the calculation formula. In the formula: X is the bull's weight gain at optimal feed ration (without superfeed) at 61-240 days of age; (10x1.5%) is the bonus for the first level of superfeed consumption; (10x1%) is the bonus for the second level of superfeed consumption; (5*0.5%) is the bonus for the third level of superfeed consumption.

Day 2 of continuous feeding with superfood

Calculation formula

X+(10(1.5%+0.1%)+10(1%+0.1%)+5x0.5%)X =X +(16%+11%+2.5%)X=X+29.5% - X=129.5% - X

Formula with real data

1.583 + (16% + 11% + 2.5%)1.583 = 1.583 + 29.5% x 1.583 = 129.5% x 1.583 = 2.0499 kg

Note. The bull in our example consumes 25 kg of superfood per day, so we include all three levels of superfood consumption (10 kg + 10 kg + 5 kg) and their inherent bonuses into the calculation formula. In addition, our bull consumes feed for the second day in a row, so we include in the formula for calculating the appropriate additional bonus for continuous consumption of superfood. In the formula: X is the bull's weight gain at optimal feed ration (no superfeed) at 61-240 days of age; (10(1.5%+0.1%)) - bonus for the first level of superfeed intake + additional bonus for continuous feeding of a bull on a reinforced first level feed ration for two consecutive days; (10(1%+0.1%)) - bonus for the second level of superfeed intake + additional bonus for continuous feeding of the bull on the second level for two days in a row; (5x0,5%) - bonus for the third level of superfeed intake.

Day 3 of continuous feeding with superfood

Calculation formula

X+(10(1.5%+0.2%)+10(1%+0.2%)+5x0.5%)X=X+(17%+12%+2.5%)X=X+31.5% - X=131.5% - X

Formula with real data

1.583 + (17% + 12% + 2.5%)1.583 = 1.583 + 31.5% - 1.583 = 131.5% - 1.583 = 2.0816 kg

Note The bull in our example consumes 25 kg of superfood per day, so we include all three levels of superfood consumption (10 kg + 10 kg + 5 kg) and their inherent bonuses into the calculation formula. In addition, our bull consumes feed for the third day in a row, so we include in the formula for calculating the appropriate additional bonus for continuous consumption of superfood. In the formula: X is the bull's weight gain at optimal feed ration (without superfeed) at 61-240 days of age; (10(1.5%+0.2%)) - bonus for first level of superfeed intake + additional bonus for continuous feeding of bull on first level enhanced feed ration for three consecutive days; (10(1%+0.2%)) - bonus for the second level of superfeed intake + additional bonus for continuous feeding of the bull on the second level for three days in a row; (5x0,5%) - bonus for the third level of superfeed intake.

Day 4 of continuous feeding with superfood

Calculation formula

X+(10(1.5%+0.3%)+10(1%+0.3%)+5 - 0.5%)X=X+(18%+13%+2.5%)X=X+33.5% - X=133.5% - X

Formula with real data

1.583 + (18% + 13% + 2.5%)1.583 = 1.583 + 33.5% - 1.583 = 133.5% - 1.583 = 2.1133 kg

Note. The bull in our example consumes 25 kg of superfood per day, so we include all three levels of superfood consumption (10 kg + 10 kg + 5 kg) and their inherent bonuses into the calculation formula. In addition, our bull consumes feed for the fourth day in a row, so we include in the formula for calculating the appropriate additional bonus for continuous consumption of superfood. In the formula: X is the bull's weight gain at optimal feed ration (without superfeed) at 61-240 days of age; (10(1.5%+0.3%)) - bonus for first level of superfeed intake + additional bonus for continuous feeding of bull on first level enhanced feed ration for four consecutive days; (10(1%+0.3%)) - bonus for the second level of superfeed intake + additional bonus for continuous feeding of the bull with the second level enhanced feed ration for four days in a row; (5*0,5%) - bonus for the third level of superfeed intake.

Day 5 of continuous feeding with superfood

Calculation formula

X+(10(1.5%+0.4%)+10(1%+0.4%)+5 - 0.5%)X=X+(19%+14%+2.5%)X=X+35.5% - X = 135.5% - X

Formula with real data

1.583 + (19% + 14% + 2.5%)1.583 = 1.583 + 35.5% - 1.583 = 135.5% - 1.583 = 2.1449 kg

Note. The bull in our example consumes 25 kg of superfood per day, so we include all three levels of superfood consumption (10 kg + 10 kg + 5 kg) and their inherent bonuses into the calculation formula. In addition, our bull consumes feed for the fifth day in a row, so we include in the formula for calculating the appropriate additional bonus for continuous consumption of superfood. In the formula: X is the bull's weight gain at optimal feed ration (no superfeed) at 61-240 days of age; (10(1.5%+0.4%)) - bonus for first level of superfeed intake + additional bonus for continuous feeding of bull on first level enhanced feed ration for five consecutive days; (10(1%+0.4%)) - bonus for the second level of superfeed intake + additional bonus for continuous feeding of the bull with the second level of increased feed ration for five consecutive days; (5 - 0,5%) - bonus for the third level of superfeed intake.

6th and subsequent days of continuous feeding with superfood

Calculation formula

X+(10(1.5%+0.5%)+10(1%+0.5%)+5 - 0.5%) - X = X + (20% + 15% + 2.5%)X = X+37.5% - X = 137.5% - X

Formula with real data

1.583 + (20% + 15% + 2.5%)1.583 = 1.583 + 37.5% - 1.583 = 137.5% - 1.583 = 2.1766 kg

Note. The bull in our example consumes 25 kg of superfood per day, so we include all three levels of superfood consumption (10 kg + 10 kg + 5 kg) and their inherent bonuses into the calculation formula. In addition, our bull consumes feed for the sixth day in a row, so we include in the formula for calculating the appropriate additional bonus for continuous consumption of superfood. On this day the maximum level of bonus from superfeeding is reached, and, assuming continuous consumption of superfeeding by the bull from our example, all subsequent days will be calculated according to the formula of the 6th day of continuous feeding with superfeeding. In the formula: X is the bull's weight gain at optimal feed ration (without superfeed) at 61-240 days of age; (10(1.5%+0.5%)) - bonus for first level of superfeed intake + additional bonus for continuous feeding of bull on first level enhanced feed ration for six consecutive days; (10(1%+0.5%)) - bonus for the second level of superfeed intake + additional bonus for continuous feeding of the bull with the second level of feed intensification for six consecutive days; (5 - 0,5%) - bonus for the third level of superfeed intake.

Example 2: Increased feed ration "variable" for bulls

Suppose you provide your bull with an optimal feed ration. At the age of 61 to 240 days, he will gain 1.583 kg per day (without superfood). Next, you stocked up on superfeed and decided to transfer this bull to an increased feed ration, with a constant consumption of 25 kg of superfeed per day. Let's say you made a mistake with the amount of feed in the trough and the superfood ran out on the third day, in which the bull received 23 kg of superfood. Let's also assume that on the fourth day you bought 16 kg of superfood and fed it to the bull. On the fifth day, you were able to finish and feed the bull only 9 kg of superfood. Then, on the sixth and seventh days, you decide to resume the increased feed ration with a consumption of 25 kg per day. How will the weight gain of this bull vary?

Day 1 of continuous feeding with superfood

Calculation formula:

X + ((10 - 1.5%) + (10 - 1%) + (5 - 0.5%))X = X + (15% + 10% + 2.5%)X = X + 27.5% - X = 127.5% - X

A formula with real data:

1.583 + (15% + 10% + 2.5%)1.583 = 1.583 + 27.5% - 1.583 = 127.5% - 1.583 = 2.0183 kg

Note. On this day the bull in our example consumes 25 kg of superfood, so we include all three levels of superfood consumption (10 kg + 10 kg + 5 kg) and their inherent bonuses into the calculation formula. In the formula: X is the bull's weight gain at optimal feed ration (without superfeed) at 61-240 days of age; (10 - 1.5%) is the bonus for the first level of superfeed consumption; (10 - 1%) is the bonus for the second level of superfeed consumption; (5 - 0.5%) is the bonus for the third level of superfeed consumption.

Day 2 of continuous feeding with superfood

Calculation formula

X+(10(1.5%+0.1%)+10(1%+0.1%)+5 - 0.5%)X = X+(16%+11%+2.5%)X= X+29.5% - X = 129.5% - X

Formula with real data

1.583 + (16% + 11% + 2.5%)1.583 = 1.583 + 29.5% - 1.583 = 129.5% - 1.583 = 2.0499 kg

Note. On this day the bull in our example consumes 25 kg of superfood, so we include all three levels of superfood consumption (10 kg + 10 kg + 5 kg) and their inherent bonuses into the calculation formula. In addition, our bull consumes feed for the second day in a row, so we include in the formula for calculating the appropriate additional bonus for continuous consumption of superfood. In the formula: X is the bull's weight gain on the optimal feed ration (without superfeed) at 61-240 days of age; (10*(1.5%+0.1%)) - bonus for the first level of superfeed consumption + additional bonus for continuous feeding of the bull on the enhanced feed ration of the first level for two consecutive days; (10*(1%+0.1%)) - bonus for the second level of superfeed consumption + additional bonus for continuous feeding of the bull with the enhanced feed ration of the second level two days in a row; (5*0,5%) - bonus for the third level of superfeed consumption.

Day 3 of continuous feeding with superfood

Calculation formula

X+(10(1.5%+0.2%)+10(1%+0.2%)+3 - 0.5%)X = X+(17%+12%+1.5%)X = X+30.5% - X=130.5% - X

Formula with real data

1.583 + (17% + 12% + 1.5%)1.583 = 1.583 + 30.5% - 1.583 = 130.5% - 1.583 = 2.0658 kg

Note On this day the bull in our example consumes 23 kg of superfood, so we include only two levels of superfood consumption (10 kg + 10 kg) and their inherent bonuses into the calculation formula completely. The third level of superfood consumption is included partially (3 kg). Besides, our bull consumes superfood for the third day in a row, so we include the corresponding additional bonus for continuous consumption of superfood into the formula for calculation (only the first and second levels of superfood consumption are maintained continuously, so the additional bonus is applied to these levels). In the formula: X is the bull's weight gain at optimal feed ration (no superfeed) at 61-240 days of age; (10(1.5%+0.2%)) - bonus for first level of superfeed intake + additional bonus for continuous feeding of bull on first level enhanced feed ration for three consecutive days; (10(1%+0.2%)) - bonus for the second level of superfeed consumption + additional bonus for continuous feeding of the bull with the second level increased feed ration for three days in a row; (3 - 0,5%) - partial bonus for the third level of superfeed consumption, taking into account the amount of superfeed actually fed to the bull on the third level.

Day 4 of continuous feeding with superfood

Calculation formula

X+(10(1.5%+0.3%)+6(1%))X = X+ (18%+6%)X = X+24% - X = 124% - X

Formula with real data

1.583 + (18% + 6%)1.583 = 1.583 + 24% - 1.583 = 124% - 1.583 = 1.9629 kg

Note. On this day the bull in our example consumes 16 kg of superfood, so we include only the first and second (partially) levels of superfood consumption (10 kg + 6 kg) in the calculation formula, as well as their inherent bonuses. Besides, our bull consumes superfeed for the fourth day in a row, so we include the corresponding additional bonus for continuous consumption of superfeed into the formula for calculation (only the first level of superfeed consumption is continuous, so the additional bonus applies only to the first level of consumption). In the formula: X - weight gain of bull at optimal feed ration (without superfeed) at 61-240 days of age; (10(1.5%+0.3%)) - bonus for the first level of superfeed intake + additional bonus for continuous feeding of the bull on the enhanced feed ration of the first level for four consecutive days; 6 - (1%) - partial bonus for the second level of superfeed intake, but without additional bonus for continuous feeding of the bull on the enhanced feed ration, because only the first level of feeding our bull on superfeed was maintained uninterrupted.

Day 5 of continuous feeding with superfood

Calculation formula

X+(9(1.5%))X = X + 13.5% - X = 113.5% - X

Formula with real data

1.583 + 13.5% - 1.583 = 113.5% - 1.583 = 1.7967 kg

Note. On this day the bull in our example consumes 9 kg of superfeed, so we include only the first level of superfeed consumption and its inherent bonus into the calculation formula. In addition, our bull received less than 10 kg of superfood that day, which means the extra bonus for continuous feeding does not apply at all. The continuity of feeding on that day was broken. In the formula: X is the bull's weight gain at optimal feed ration (without superfeed) at 61-240 days of age; (9 - (1.5%)) - bonus for the first level of superfeed intake, with no additional bonus because the continuity of feeding is broken at all levels as a result of the bull consuming less than 10 kg of superfeed on that day.

Day 6 of continuous feeding with superfood

Calculation formula

X + ((10 - 1.5%) + (10 - 1%) + (5 - 0.5%))X = X + (15% + 10% + 2.5%)X = X + 27.5% - X = 127.5% - X

Formula with real data

1.583 + (15% + 10% + 2.5%)1.583 = 1.583 + 27.5% - 1.583 = 127.5% - 1.583 = 2.0183 kg

Note. On this day the bull in our example consumes 25 kg of superfood, so we include all three levels of superfood consumption (10 kg + 10 kg + 5 kg) and their inherent bonuses into the calculation formula. On the previous day, the continuity of our bull's superfood feeding was interrupted, so the extra bonus does not apply on that day. In the formula: X is the weight gain of the bull at the optimal feed ration (without superfeed) at 61-240 days of age; (10 - 1.5%) is the bonus for the first level of superfeed consumption; (10 - 1%) is the bonus for the second level of superfeed consumption; (5 - 0.5%) is the bonus for the third level of superfeed consumption.

Day 7 of continuous feeding with superfood

Calculation formula

X+ (10(1.5%+0.1%) + 10(1%+0.1%)+ 5*0.5%)X = X + (16%+11%+2.5%)X = X + 29.5% - X = 129.5% - X

In addition, our bull consumes superfeed for the second day in a row after the break on the 5th day (see the table above), so we include in the formula for calculating the corresponding additional bonus for continuous consumption of superfeed for two days. In the formula: X is the bull's weight gain at optimal feed ration (without superfeed) at 61-240 days of age; (10 - (1.5% + 0.1%)) - bonus for the first level of superfeed intake + additional bonus for continuous feeding of a bull on an increased feed ration for two consecutive days from the day of a break in the 5th day; (10 - (1% + 0.1%)) - bonus for the second level of superfeed intake + additional bonus for continuous feeding of the bull on a reinforced feed ration for two consecutive days from the day of the break on day 5; (5 - 0,5%) - bonus for the third level of superfeed intake

Example 3: "maximal" feed ration for cows

Suppose you provide your cow with an optimal feed ration. At the age of 61 to 240 days and weighing up to 400 kg, she will give 7.7 liters of milk per day (without superfood). Next, you stocked up on superfeed and decided to move this cow to an increased feed ration, with a constant consumption of 25 kg of superfeed per day. How much will this cow's milk yield increase?

Day 1 of continuous feeding with superfood

Calculation formula:

X + ((10 - 1.5%) + (10 - 1%) + (5*0.5%))X = X + (15% + 10% + 2.5%)X = X + 27.5% - X = 127.5% - X

A formula with real data:

7,7 + (15% + 10% + 2,5%)7,7= 7,7 + 27,5% - 7,7 = 127,5% - 7,7 = 9,8175 л

The cow in our example consumes 25 kg of superfood per day, so we include all three levels of superfood consumption (10kg + 10kg + 5kg) and their inherent bonuses for each kg eaten by your cow into the calculation formula. In the formula: X is the cow's milk yield at optimal feed ration (without superfeed) at 61-240 days of age and weighing up to 400 kg; (10 - 1.5%) is the bonus for the first level of superfeed consumption; (10 - 1%) is the bonus for the second level of superfeed consumption; (5 - 0.5%) is the bonus for the third level of superfeed consumption.

Day 2 of continuous feeding with superfood

Calculation formula

X+(10(1.5%+0.1%)+10(1%+0.1%)+5 - 0.5%)X = X +(16%+11%+2.5%)X = X + 29.5% - X = 129.5% - X

Formula with real data

7,7 + (16% + 11% + 2,5%)7,7= 7,7 + 29,5% - 7,7 = 129,5% - 7,7 = 9,9715 л

Note. The cow in our example consumes 25 kg of superfood per day, so we include all three levels of superfood consumption (10 kg + 10 kg + 5 kg) and their inherent bonuses into the calculation formula. In addition, our cow consumes superfood for the second day in a row, so we include in the formula for calculating the appropriate additional bonus for continuous consumption of superfood. In the formula: X is the cow's milk yield at optimal feed ration (no superfeed) at 61-240 days of age and weighing up to 400 kg; (10(1.5% + 0.1%)) - a bonus for the first level of superfeed intake + an additional bonus for continuously feeding the cow with the first level enhanced feed ration for two consecutive days; (10(1% + 0.1%)) - bonus for the second level of superfeed intake + additional bonus for continuous feeding of a cow with a second level of supplementary feed for two days in a row; (5 - 0,5%) - bonus for the third level of superfeed intake.

Day 3 of continuous feeding with superfood

Calculation formula

X + (10(1.5%+0.2%) + 10(1%+0.2%)+5*0.5%)X = X + (17%+12%+2.5%)X = X + 31.5% - X + 131.5% - X

Formula with real data

7,7 + (17% + 12% + 2,5%)7,7= 7,7 + 31,5% - 7,7 = 131,5% - 7,7 = 10,1255 л

Note The cow in our example consumes 25 kg of superfood per day, so we include all three levels of superfood consumption (10kg + 10kg + 5kg) and their inherent bonuses into the calculation formula. In addition, our cow consumes feed for the third day in a row, so we include in the formula for calculating the appropriate additional bonus for continuous consumption of superfood. In the formula: X is the cow's milk yield at optimal feed ration (without superfeed) at 61-240 days of age and weighing up to 400 kg; (10(1.5% + 0.2%)) - bonus for the first level of superfeed intake + additional bonus for continuous feeding of the cow with the first level enhanced feed ration for three consecutive days; (10(1% + 0.2%)) - bonus for the second level of superfeed intake + additional bonus for continuous feeding of the cow with the second level of intensified feed ration for three days in a row; (5 - 0,5%) - bonus for the third level of superfeed intake.

Day 4 of continuous feeding with superfood

Calculation formula

X+(10(1.5%+0.3%)+10(1%+0.3%)+5 - 0.5%)X = X + (18%+13%+2.5%)X = X +3 3.5% - X = 133.5% - X

Formula with real data

7,7 + (18% + 13% + 2,5%)7,7= 7,7 + 33,5% - 7,7 = 133,5% - 7,7 = 10,2795 л

Note. The cow in our example consumes 25 kg of superfood per day, so we include all three levels of superfood consumption (10 kg + 10 kg + 5 kg) and their inherent bonuses into the calculation formula. In addition, our cow consumes feed for the fourth day in a row, so we include in the formula for calculating the appropriate additional bonus for continuous consumption of superfood. In the formula: X is the cow's milk yield at optimal feed ration (without superfeed) at 61-240 days of age and weighing up to 400 kg; (10(1.5% + 0.3%)) - bonus for the first level of superfeed intake + additional bonus for continuous feeding of the cow with the first level of enhanced feed ration for four consecutive days; (10(1% + 0.3%)) - bonus for the second level of superfeed intake + additional bonus for continuous feeding of the cow with the second level of intensified feed ration for four consecutive days; (5 - 0.5%) - bonus for the third level of superfeed intake.

Day 5 of continuous feeding with superfood

Calculation formula

X + (10(1.5%+0.4%)+10(1%+0.4%)+ 5 - 0.5%)X = X + (19%+14%+2.5%)X = X + 35.5% - X = 135.5% - X

Formula with real data

7,7 + (19% + 14% + 2,5%)7,7= 7,7 + 35,5%* 7,7 = 135,5% - 7,7 = 10,4335 л

Note. The cow in our example consumes 25 kg of superfood per day, so we include all three levels of superfood consumption (10 kg + 10 kg + 5 kg) and their inherent bonuses into the calculation formula. In addition, our cow consumes feed for the fifth day in a row, so we include in the formula for calculating the appropriate additional bonus for continuous consumption of superfood. In the formula: X is the cow's milk yield at optimal feed ration (no superfeed) at 61-240 days of age and weighing up to 400 kg; (10(1.5% + 0.4%)) - bonus for the first level of superfeed intake + additional bonus for continuous feeding of a cow on a first level enhanced feed ration for five consecutive days; (10(1% + 0.4%)) - bonus for the second level of superfeed intake + additional bonus for continuous feeding of a cow with a second level of supplemented feed for five consecutive days; (5 - 0,5%) - bonus for the third level of superfeed intake.

6th and subsequent days of continuous feeding with superfood

Calculation formula

X + (10(1.5%+0.5%) + 10(1%+0.5%)+5*0.5%)X = X + (20%+15%+2.5%)X = X + 37.5% - X = 137.5% - X

Formula with real data

7,7 + (20% + 15% + 2,5%)7,7= 7,7 + 37,5% - 7,7 = 137,5% - 7,7 = 10,5875 л

Note. The cow in our example consumes 25 kg of superfood per day, so we include all three levels of superfood consumption (10 kg + 10 kg + 5 kg) and their inherent bonuses into the calculation formula. In addition, our cow consumes feed for the sixth day in a row, so we include in the formula for calculating the appropriate additional bonus for continuous consumption of superfood. On this day the maximum level of bonus from superfeeding is reached, and if the cow from our example consumes superfeed continuously, the milk yields of all subsequent days will be calculated according to the formula of the 6th day of continuous feeding with superfeeding. In the formula: X is the cow's milk yield at optimal feed ration (without superfeed) at 61-240 days of age and weighing up to 400 kg; (10(1.5% + 0.5%)) - bonus for first level of superfeed intake + additional bonus for continuous feeding of a cow with a first level enhanced feed ration for six consecutive days; (10(1%+0.4%)) - bonus for the second level of superfeed intake + additional bonus for continuous feeding of a cow with a second level of supplemented feed for six consecutive days; (5 - 0,5%) - bonus for the third level of superfeed intake.

Example 4: Reinforced "variable" feed ration for cows

Suppose you provide your cow with an optimal feed ration. At the age of 61 to 240 days and weighing up to 400 kg, she will give 7.7 liters of milk per day (without superfood). Next, you stocked up on superfeed and decided to move this cow to an increased feed ration, with a constant consumption of 25 kg of superfeed per day. Let's say you made a mistake with the amount of feed in the trough, and the superfood ran out on the third day, in which the cow received 23 kg of superfood. Let's also assume that on the fourth day you bought 16 kg of superfood and fed it to the cow. On the fifth day, you were able to finish and feed the cow only 9 kg of superfood. Then, on the sixth and seventh days, you decide to resume the increased feed ration with a consumption of 25 kg per day. How will this cow's milk yield increase vary?

Day 1 of continuous feeding with superfood

Calculation formula:

X + ((10 - 1.5%) + (10 - 1%) + (5 - 0.5%))X = X + (15% + 10% + 2.5%)X = X + 27.5% - X = 127.5% - X

A formula with real data:

7,7 + (15% + 10% + 2,5%)7,7 = 7,7 + 27,5% - 7,7 = 127,5% - 7,7 = 9,8175 л

Note. On this day the cow in our example consumes 25 kg of superfood, so let's include all three levels of superfood consumption (10kg + 10kg + 5kg) and their inherent bonuses for each kg eaten by your cow into the calculation formula.

X + (10(1.5%+0.1%) + 10(1%+0.1%)+5 - 0.5%)X = X + (16%+11%+2.5%)X = X 29.5% - X = 29.5% - X

Formula with real data

7,7 + (16% + 11% + 2,5%)7,7 = 7,7 + 29,5% - 7,7 = 129,5% - 7,7 = 9,9715 л

Note. On this day the cow in our example consumes 25 kg of superfood, so we include all three levels of superfood consumption (10kg + 10kg + 5kg) and their inherent bonuses into the calculation formula.

X + (10(1.5%+0.2%) + 10(1%+0.2%)+3 - 0.5%)X = X + (17%+12%+1.5%)X = X + 30.5% - X = 130.5% - X

Formula with real data

7,7 + (17% + 12% + 1,5%)7,7 = 7,7 + 30,5% - 7,7 = 130,5% - 7,7 = 10,0485 л

Note On this day the cow in our example consumes 23 kg of superfood, so we include only two levels of superfood consumption (10 kg + 10 kg) and their inherent bonuses into the calculation formula completely. The third level of superfood consumption is included partially (3kg). In addition, our cow consumes superfood for the third day in a row, so we include in the formula for calculating the appropriate additional bonus for continuous consumption of superfood (only the first and second levels of superfood consumption are continuously sustained, so we apply an additional bonus to them). In the formula: X is the cow's milk yield at optimal feed ration (without superfeed) at 61-240 days of age and weighing up to 400 kg; (10(1.5% + 0.2%)) - bonus for the first level of superfeed intake + additional bonus for continuous feeding of a cow with a first level enhanced feed ration for three consecutive days; (10(1% + 0.2%)) - bonus for the second level of superfeed consumption + additional bonus for continuous feeding of the cow with the second level increased feed ration for three days in a row; (3 - 0,5%) - partial bonus for the third level of superfeed consumption, taking into account the amount of superfeed actually fed to the cow at the third level.

Day 4 of continuous feeding with superfood

Calculation formula

X + (10(1.5% + 0.3%) + 6 (1%))X=X+(18%+6%)X = X + 24% - X = 124% - X

Formula with real data

7,7 + (18% + 6%) - 7,7 = 7,7 + 24% - 7,7 = 124% - 7,7 = 9,548 л

Note. On this day the cow in our example consumes 16 kg of superfeed, so we include only the first and second (partially) levels of superfeed consumption and their inherent bonuses into the calculation formula. In addition, our cow consumes superfood for the fourth day in a row, so we include in the formula for calculating the appropriate additional bonus for continuous consumption of superfood (only the first level of superfood consumption is continuous, so the additional bonus applies only to it). In the formula: X - cow's milk yield at optimal feed ration (without superfeed) at 61-240 days of age and weighing up to 400 kg; (10(1.5% + 0.3%)) - bonus for the first level of superfeed intake + additional bonus for continuous feeding of the cow with the first level of enhanced feed ration for four consecutive days; 6(1%) - partial bonus for the second level of superfeed intake but without additional bonus for continuous feeding of the cow with the second level of enhanced feed ration because the second level was not fully sustained.

Day 5 of continuous feeding with superfood

Calculation formula

X + (9(1.5%))X = X + 13.5 - X =1 13.5% - X

Formula with real data

7,7 + 13,5% - 7,7= 113,5% - 7,7 = 8,7395 л

Note. On this day the cow in our example consumes 9 kg of superfeed per day, so we include only the first level of superfeed consumption and its inherent bonus into the calculation formula. In addition, our cow received less than 10 kg of superfood that day, which means the extra bonus for continuous feeding does not apply at all. The continuity of feeding on that day was broken. In the formula: X is the cow's milk yield at optimal feed ration (without superfeed) at 61-240 days of age and weighing up to 400 kg; (9(1.5%)) - bonus for the first level of superfeed intake, with no additional bonus because continuity of feeding is broken at all levels as a result of the cow consuming less than 10 kg of superfeed on that day.

Day 6 of continuous feeding with superfood

Calculation formula

X + ((10 - 1.5%) + (10 - 1%) + (5 - 0.5%))X = X + (15% + 10% + 2.5%)X = X + 27.5% - X = 127.5% - X

Formula with real data

7,7 + (15% + 10% + 2,5%)7,7 = 7,7 + 27,5% - 7,7 = 127,5% - 7,7 = 9,8175 л

Note. On this day the cow in our example consumes 25 kg of superfood, so let's include all three levels of superfood consumption (10kg + 10kg + 5kg) and their inherent bonuses for each kg eaten by your cow into the calculation formula. On the previous day, the continuity of feeding our cow with superfood was interrupted, so the extra bonus does not apply on that day.

Day 7 of continuous feeding with superfood

Calculation formula

X + (10(1.5%+0.1%) + 10(1%+0.1%) + 5 - 0.5%)X = X + (16%+11%+2.5%)X = X + 29.5% - X = 129.5% - X

Formula with real data

7,7 + (16% + 11% + 2,5%)7,7 = 7,7 + 29,5% - 7,7 = 129,5% - 7,7 = 9,9715 л

Note. On this day the cow in our example consumes 25 kg of superfeed, so we include all three levels of superfeed consumption and their inherent bonuses into the calculation formula. In addition, our cow consumes superfood for the second day in a row after the break on the 5th day (see table above), so we include in the formula for calculating the corresponding additional bonus for continuous consumption of superfood for two days. X - cow's milk yield at optimal feed ration (without superfeed) at 61-240 days of age and weighing up to 400 kg; (10(1.5% + 0.1%)) - bonus for the first level of superfeed intake + additional bonus for continuous feeding of a cow on a reinforced feed ration for two consecutive days from the day of a break in the 5th day; (10(1% + 0.1%)) - bonus for the second level of superfeed intake + additional bonus for continuous feeding of a cow with an increased feed ration for two consecutive days from the day of a break in the 5th day; (5 - 0,5%) - bonus for the third level of superfeed intake.
