Using the barn
Let's talk about the peculiarities of keeping cattle after building a barn.
A barn is a very useful structure that has an impact on many aspects of livestock production. The barn building is built one for the entire game account. It can be used by any of your clone's animals. They will be in the barn, while remaining the property of their clone master.
Cowsheds on Clone Earth have varying capacities. This parameter determines how many animals can fit in there and take advantage of it. If your clones have more cattle than the capacity of the barn - the other animals will not enter the barn and will eat from the feeding trough in the barnyard of their clone master.
Note that the barn needs periodic repairs. If the barn is broken, it ceases to function and provides no benefits. The animals cannot eat in the broken barn and begin to consume feed from the feeding trough in the clone-owner's barnyard.
Depending on your strategy of livestock development on the account, you can start with a small barn, gradually expanding it as you increase the number of cattle. Or you can build a big one right away. But do not forget that the bigger the barn - the more benefits it gives, but also the cost of its repair will be higher.
The cost of building a barn depends on its capacity.

The process of building a barn is instant.
The barn must be repaired every 30 days of operation. Repair costs are not cumulative - that is, you may not repair the barn for several months, the cost of ongoing repairs will remain constant.
It is quite natural that the larger your barn, the more materials are spent on its repair.

From the moment your barn breaks down until it is repaired, the cattle are fed only from the barnyard feeder of the clone to which the animal belongs. You cannot mate your own animals in a broken barn, it does not give you a discount for processing cow manure, does not increase the weight of born calves, and does not count towards your account score.
You don't have to personally handle your barn repair and remember that. You can activate the "Automatically repair in case of breakdown" function on the barn page.

Increasing the capacity of the barn
The bigger your barn, the more benefits it will bring to your business. However, entrepreneurs do not always have the means to build a maximum level barn at the very beginning of their career. Therefore, as a rule, begin with the construction of an entry-level barn. You can improve your barn at any time by increasing its capacity and the benefits it provides.
You can increase the capacity of the barn level by level.

|Capacity, heads||Gold||Staying power||Stone||wood||Iron|

Mass livestock operations
Over time, the number of your animals may grow so that it becomes inconvenient, and long, to deal with each of them individually. A barn can simplify mass operations with your cattle - such as feeding cattle.
Until you have a barn built, you will be forced to put food into the barnyard feeder of every clone you have animals. But if you have a barn, all animals in it (belonging to any clone of your account) will only feed from the barn's feeder. The trough of the barnyard will not be available to them. This greatly simplifies feeding and allows you to quickly control the availability of all foods in your animals' rations.
Mating your own animals
Only in a barn can you herd cows and bulls belonging to one of your clones (or different clones in your account). Mating in the barn is free. Without a barn, you can only mate through the Producer Bull Fair.
Weight gain of newborn calves
If you have a large barn with additional improvements, you will be able to produce offspring of greater weight than under normal conditions. The Clone Earth Alchemical Laboratory produces magical solar plates that can be installed on the roof of your barn. These plates affect the cattle in the barn, due to this and increase the weight of the litter at birth.
Table. Cost of barn improvements
|Capacity (heads)||Weight of the litter without the magic solar plates||Number of plates, to improve (pcs)||Weight of litter including bonus|
|Livestock yard (cowshed not built)||((Bovine weight + cow weight) / 2) - 6%||Magic solar plates not applicable||-|
|10||((Bovine weight + cow weight) / 2) - 6%||Plates are not applicable||-|
|50||((Bovine weight + cow weight) / 2) - 6%||1||((Bovine weight + cow weight) / 2) - 7%|
|200||((Bovine weight + cow weight) / 2) - 6%||3||((Bovine weight + cow weight) / 2) - 8%|
|750||((Bovine weight + cow weight) / 2) - 6%||5||((Bovine weight + cow weight) / 2) - 9%|
|2000||((Bovine weight + cow weight) / 2) - 6%||8||((Bovine weight + cow weight) / 2) - 10%|
|2500||((Bovine weight + cow weight) / 2) - 6%||13||((Bovine weight + cow weight) / 2) - 11%|
The table shows the total number of solar plates that need to be installed on the barn. If you increase the capacity of the barn, you will need to install the missing number of plates. All plates set at previous levels are taken into account. If you have increased the capacity but have not installed additional solar plates, the increase in litter weight will not work.
Discount on cow manure processing
One of the important features of the barn is that its owner will have a discount when processing cow manure into "Cow Breeze" fertilizer. It doesn't matter if it's manure produced by your own animals or if you just bought it at the Fair. A discount is given on the price of processing manure into fertilizer (in gold coins).
The higher the capacity of your barn, the greater the discount you get.
