Fertilizers and increasing yields

Fertilizer application can significantly increase yields from a single field in a single crop cycle. Thus, it is possible to get more production for almost the same period of time and with the same basic costs (cost of seeds, agricultural tax).

There are two methods of fertilizing agricultural fields on Clone Earth:

  • Manual application of specially made fertilizers in the field.
  • Grazing peacocks in the field.

These methods can be used separately or in combination. If you combine the methods, the effect of their application will be summed up.

What kind of fertilizers are there?

Under Business → Livestock → Manure and fertilizer can be obtained from different types of manure, the necessary fertilizer. You can also buy or sell fertilizer at the Fair. There are four kinds of manure and four kinds of fertilizer accordingly. Depending on the type of fertilizer, different amounts are used to fertilize the field as much as possible.

It makes no difference what kind of fertilizer you use to increase yields. But different kinds of fertilizer have different nutritional value. So pay attention to the different amounts of each fertilizer needed to maximize the fertilization of the land.

Fertilizer application procedure

Fertilizer can be applied to any piece of land that meets the following requirements:

  • A clone is assigned to work at the site.
  • Seed has not yet been started on the plot.
  • The site has not yet been fertilized in the current farming season.
  • The site had not been fertilized in the previous farming season.

Note that you can only apply fertilizer to your fields every other cropping season (1 time). However, fertilizer application only increases yield for one crop season (the one in which the fertilizer was applied). Fertilizer properties do not carry over to the next season. If this season you had the opportunity to fertilize the field, but did not use it - the opportunity will remain in the next season.

Partial fertilization of the fields is possible, if for some reason you do not want to fertilize your fields 100%.

Attention! Fertilizer is only applied once per plot. If your plot has already been fertilized even partially (10%, 50% fertilizer) in the current season, this plot can no longer be fertilized again in the same season. The site will also be unavailable for fertilization next season.

The fertilization procedure takes a certain amount of time. The duration of work depends directly on the amount of fertilizer applied, where 1% of fertilizer applied takes 1.2 hours of fertilizer processing time of the fields. You can apply any integer amount of fertilizer (in kilograms), but not more than the maximum for the species. For ease of understanding, time calculations for 10%, 50%, and 100% fertilization are given.

The duration of the manual fertilization phase can be reduced by hiring servants.

Increasing yields

The main goal when fertilizing a plot of land is to increase the amount of yield that will be obtained from that plot in the current crop cycle. Yield increases are proportional to the degree of fertilizer applied to your fields. That is, if you applied half the fertilizer of the maximum rate, the increase in the amount of yield will also happen half of the maximum possible.
